The Shropshire Parks & Gardens Trust is a registered charity founded in 1997. We work to protect historic gardens throughout Shropshire and influence public awareness and appreciation of the county's parks and gardens heritage.
The Shropshire Parks & Gardens Trust provides opportunities to learn about the history, design and development of gardens. We publish a newsletter twice a year as well as running a series of lectures during the winter months and arrange visits to gardens during the summer months.
We are part of The Gardens Trust , a national organisation representing 32 County Gardens Trusts actively engaged in conserving, researching, documenting and caring for our heritage of parks, gardens and designed landscapes.
Parks and gardens can be works of art. They may be of special historic, horticultural, architectural, scientific or scenic interest. Shropshire's Parks and Gardens give much pleasure, improve well being, protect wildlife and biodiversity and provide great value to our communities.
