Simon is Gardens Consultant for the National Trust North-West Region, responsible for all gardens and parks from the south Cheshire to the Scottish border. With a degree in Amenity Horticulture from Pershore College, Simon worked at the Royal Horticultural Society garden at Wisley for two years, looking after the National Plant Collections Scheme. After studying for a Masters degree in Plant Botany at Edinburgh Botanical Gardens, he went on to spend ten years at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, eventually becoming the Plant Collections Manager there.
Gareth is a professional horticulturist with over 35 years in the industry. His experiences range from commercial nursery production through landscaping to professional gardening. Gareth serves on the regional committee of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and was a Vice President (Branches) for six years. He is Southern Chairman of the Professional Gardeners' Guild and a Fellow of the Professional Garden Consultants Association.
Our Annual General Meeting will be followed by refreshments before the start of our final talk of the season.
Neil is Gardens and Park Manager at Hanbury Hall, the National Trust property in Worcestershire. He has been at Hanbury since 1988 and has been involved in the re-creation of the formal gardens originally designed by George London.
