The basic layout of the gardens from 1807 is still represented in the lawns, ancient trees, archery ground, and Secret Rock Garden. The house is adjacent to Acton Scott Heritage Farm, as seen on TV's Victorian Farm.
Arley Arboretum is one of the oldest in the UK having been first planted in 1820. Now over 300 species can be seen including some of the finest specimen trees in the country.

Walled kitchen garden and orchard from around 1780s. Includes a bothy and glasshouses growing fruit, vegetables and flowers. National Collection of camassia flowers in May. Shrub and tree landscaped park designed by Thomas Leggett between 1770-72. Deer park.

Boscobel House & Garden EH
Boscobel House and its Royal Oak tree played a starring role in English history when, in 1651, it became a refuge for Charles II. Head outside into the period garden, where there's a winding willow tunnel to explore, and a tree-themed playground near the tearoom.
The landscape park and lake to the south of the house were designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown during the 1760's for Thomas Giffard the elder.

Quarry Garden & The Dingle
The Quarry is Shrewsbury's 29-acre parkland laid out in 1719 along the banks of the River Severn. At its heart lies the Dingle, a sunken garden landscaped with alpine borders, brilliant bedding plants, shrubbery and water features cultivated by world renowned gardener Percy Thrower.

Sunnycroft Villa NT
Late Victorian gentleman's villa which has survived largely unaltered. The grounds are a mini estate with pigsties, stables, kitchen garden, orchards, conservatory, flower garden and superb Wellingtonia avenue.
Set in 400 acres of parkland designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown for Sir Henry Bridgeman in the 1760s. The formal gardens that surround the house include sunken Italian Gardens, Walled Garden, scented Rose Garden and Lady Anne's Memorial Garden.
