The Shropshire Parks and Gardens Trust was formed in 1997. It works to protect historic gardens throughout Shropshire and influence public awareness and appreciation of Shropshire's parks and gardens heritage. Shropshire Parks and Gardens Trust is a member of The Gardens Trust.
Parks and gardens can be works of art. They may be of special historic, horticultural, architectural, scientific or scenic interest. Shropshire's Parks and Gardens give much pleasure, are of great value to the community, and help to conserve Shropshire's wildlife and biodiversity.
Shropshire has a rich heritage of parks and gardens, and the Shropshire Parks & Gardens Trust is closely involved in protecting them from inappropriate development and neglect
The Shropshire Parks & Gardens Trust offers an exciting programme of talks and garden visits and provides opportunities to learn about the historic development and design of gardens
