Shropshire's heritage of Parks and Gardens

The Shropshire Parks and Gardens Trust was formed in 1996.

The Shropshire Parks and Gardens Trust seeks to document, conserve and interpret Shropshire's heritage of historic parks and gardens and support good practice in the design of contemporary public parks and open spaces.

The Trust is registered with The Charity Commission (Registered Charity No 1076257) and aims:-

1. To promote the education of the public on matters connected with the arts and sciences of parks and gardens;

2. To preserve, enhance and re-create for the education and enjoyment of the public whatever garden land may exist or have existed in and around the County of Shropshire.

The Trust has an active programme of talks, garden visits and other events (click on the link below). Many of the garden visits are to properties which are not normally open to the public.
