Shropshire Parks & Gardens Trust

Registered Charity number 1076257

Bursary Scheme for Students

Who are we?

The Trust is a registered charity founded in 1997. It works to protect historic gardens throughout Shropshire and influence public awareness and appreciation of the county's parks and gardens heritage.

The Trust provides opportunities to learn about the history, design and development of gardens. The Trust publishes a newsletter twice a year as well as running a series of lectures during the winter months and arranges visits to gardens, not normally open to the public, during the summer months.

How do we help students?

The Trust offers a limited number of bursaries of up to £250 each to assist with the purchase of items such as cameras, memory cards, books and other resources and equipment to support your studies. Financial assistance towards travelling expenses and short courses to enhance a student's study are also valid reasons for consideration by
the Trust.

Your course must involve an element of study connected with parks, gardens or designed landscapes.

Applications are welcome from students who are normally resident in Shropshire no matter where they may be studying.

Applications may be received at any time of year. Applicants may be full-time or part-time students.

The decision of the Trust is final and all applicants will be notified of whether or not they have been successful.
