Loved or loathed, public art brought a spirit of optimism to the embattled post-war British people.
Displayed in the East Wing Galleries at Somerset House from February 3rd to April 10th, Out There: Our Post-War Public Art Exhibition follows the fates and fortunes of public sculptures by pioneering artists, inspired by a utopian vision for the future.
Works featured will include those by Henry Moore, Elisabeth Frink, Barbara Hepworth and Paul Mount.
